About OpenDates
OpenDates is a Canadian wedding directory built around availability. Venues and vendors show the dates they still have open, and couples search by their wedding date to see who is free that day. OpenDates was founded in 2026 by Kristina (Kris), who runs it with her mom, Debi. Kris lives in Woodstock, Ontario. Searching and asking businesses questions is free for couples, every business gets a free page, and OpenDates never takes a commission. The site is in English and French, at opendates.ca.

The Open Dates Report
Each month we count the open dates businesses show on OpenDates: open Saturdays, Fridays and Sundays by province, the most open months and how far ahead dates go. Each month’s count is kept as an edition that never changes, so a number you quote keeps matching its page.
34,855 open wedding dates from 207 businesses, with 2,876 open Saturdays in the 2027 season (May to October).
