Business pages we create
Some venue and vendor pages on OpenDates were created by us from publicly available information (a name, a city, a category and a few facts from public sources) so couples can find local options in one place. Such a page says so on the page. It does not mean the business is a member of, endorsed by or partnered with OpenDates, and we never copy a business’s photos, reviews or website text onto it. Any business can claim its page free, or ask us to correct or remove it by emailing support@opendates.ca or using the link on the page; we act within two business days.

Your photos and your copyright
Every photo, video and piece of text you upload stays yours. You keep the copyright, and photographers and videographers keep the copyright to their work whoever uploads it. By uploading, you give OpenDates only what it takes to show your page: we display your photos on your own page, on the cards and search results that lead to it, and in the preview image when someone shares your page. We never use your photos in our advertising, social media posts, videos, emails, printed material or any other marketing, and never on another business’s page, without your written permission for that specific use. Photos on business pages carry a watermark with your name. You can remove any photo yourself at any time, or email support@opendates.ca and we remove it within a few hours. If you upload a photo taken by someone else, you are responsible for having their permission, and we will credit or remove it at the photographer’s request.

A listings venue
OpenDates is a listings venue. We are not a party to, broker of, or agent in any transfer.

What “Transfer verified” means
“Transfer verified” means we reviewed a document showing the booking exists and may be transferred. It is not a guarantee the transfer will complete.

Sellers
Sellers warrant their listing is accurate and they have the right to transfer what they list.

Buyers
Buyers must confirm the transfer directly with the venue or vendor, in writing, before paying anyone.

Payments and fees
Payment for transfers happens between buyer and seller, off-platform. OpenDates charges only for optional extras (Boost, Spotlight, extra listings, Open Calendar packs); extras are non-refundable once applied.

Listing lifecycle
Listings come down per the site lifecycle (sold + 7 days, date passed, or on request).

Removal
We may remove listings or accounts that break these terms or the law.

Liability
Our total liability is capped at the fees you paid OpenDates in the past 12 months.
