What the numbers show
- For the 2027 season (May to October), 2,876 Saturdays are open across 144 businesses, against 2,442 Fridays and 2,423 Sundays.
- Fridays and Sundays together offer 1.7 open dates for every open Saturday: the simplest way to widen the choice.
- Ontario has the most open Saturdays this season (1,462).
- The months with the most open dates in the year ahead: January, November, December.
- Within the season, September has the fewest open Saturdays on OpenDates (407).
- Half of all open dates fall within 214 days of the count, and the furthest is December 31, 2028.

What this does not show
These are the dates 207 businesses on OpenDates show as open, not every wedding business in Canada. A business that does not show its calendar here is not counted, and a date can be booked elsewhere before the business takes it down. The numbers show where these businesses still have room, not how busy the whole market is.
Counted on October 31, 2026. We count every date a Canadian venue or vendor shows as open on OpenDates that day: a live date, that day or later, from a business whose page is on the site and whose dates are shown. Dates passed on by couples and sample rows are left out. One date means one business, one day. The dates come from the businesses themselves (added by hand or linked from their calendar). The count of businesses showing their availability also includes 64 teams that are available most dates and mark only the days they are fully booked, so they add no dates to the totals. This edition is kept exactly as it was counted and does not change.
