There is something wonderfully romantic about a wedding that begins beside the water and ends with everyone you love dancing only a short walk away.
Marlwood Golf & Country Club offers that possibility in Wasaga Beach, where the golf course, clubhouse and waterside surroundings create several different settings within one celebration.
The clubhouse can accommodate wedding receptions of up to approximately 200 guests, giving couples room for dinner, speeches and dancing while keeping everyone together in one comfortable space.
Outside, couples can exchange vows beside Marl Lake, allowing the water and surrounding greenery to become the backdrop for the ceremony.
It creates a lovely rhythm for the day. Guests arrive outside for the vows, enjoy the property while photographs are being taken and then move toward the clubhouse and patio as the celebration shifts into the evening.
The grounds offer plenty of room for wedding photographs, from the water and landscaped course to quieter stretches of greenery away from the reception.
Food can be prepared through the club's culinary team, while event staff help bring together the practical details around the reception.
The property also offers something particularly appealing to couples who want an outdoor wedding but worry about placing the entire celebration at the mercy of the weather. The ceremony can take advantage of the waterfront while the reception remains comfortably indoors.
