Yellowknife Racquet Club

At the Yellowknife Racquet Club, a wedding comes with wide views over Great Slave Lake and the rooftops of Old Town, from a sunlit studio or an open summer deck.

Best known as a fitness club, YKRC also offers about 4,500 square feet of renovated event space, with packages for weddings, parties and meetings.

The Yoga Studio fills with natural light by day and has warm lighting for evening events, with lake and Old Town views through the windows. It holds up to 60 guests and suits an intimate ceremony.

The Lounges hold up to 115 guests and can be cleared to become a dance floor once dinner is done.

In summer, the 2,200 square foot deck is a favourite for weddings and receptions, with room for up to 142 guests and more sweeping views of the lake.

Couples can book a time to come and see the spaces before they decide.

For couples who want a relaxed Yellowknife celebration with the big lake as their backdrop, the Yellowknife Racquet Club offers a wedding that is flexible, bright and full of northern light.
