Originally built as a streetcar repair facility, this century-old Toronto landmark has been transformed into a cultural and community hub while keeping the industrial details that make the building so distinctive.
The Covered Street Barn is the property's main event space, offering approximately 7,680 square feet beneath a full-length skylight. Original exposed brick, soaring ceilings and glass garage-style doors create an atmosphere that feels historic, industrial and unexpectedly romantic all at once.
For wedding receptions, the space can accommodate approximately 350 guests seated at rounds and up to 600 for a standing celebration. For smaller weddings, fabric sheers can divide the Barn into more intimate areas, allowing the enormous room to feel completely different depending on the guest list.
The glass doors can open toward the surrounding parkland, bringing fresh air and greenery into the celebration. Couples can also add the Christie Open Air Courtyard, a 3,000-square-foot outdoor space that works beautifully for cocktails, food trucks or another part of the wedding day.
Tables, chairs and basic audiovisual equipment are available through the venue, while architectural lighting and string lights can add warmth as daylight disappears from the skylight overhead.
