Some venues are quiet until the guests arrive. This one is already full of life, with curlers on the ice, pickleball on the courts and a community that has made the building a gathering place.
The Southeast Multiplex Sud-Est, owned and operated by Curl Moncton, is located in Moncton. Alongside its curling and pickleball clubs, the facility offers several rentable spaces for events from yoga classes to weddings.
The Banquet Hall on the second floor is the main space for weddings. At 3,760 square feet, it can hold approximately 120 to 180 guests depending on the setup, and a bar is available on request.
Other rooms offer flexibility for smaller celebrations or related gatherings. The Acadien Lounge on the lower level fits approximately 80 to 100 guests, and the second-floor Curling Classroom holds up to 100, with its own stairwell, its own washroom and direct elevator access. The Curling Lounge, home to the main bar with direct access to the Acadien Lounge and the ice, fits 80 to 100 and is available in the off-season only.
Rentals include free parking with overflow available, climate control, tables and chairs and a wired microphone with podium. A projector and screen, flipchart, lapel or headset microphones and bar services can be added.
All catering is provided by High Tide Food Group, which keeps the meal in the hands of one team. Couples are responsible for their own decorating, within the facility's guidelines.
Limited curling ice rentals are available from October to April, so a wedding party might even gather for a friendly game before the celebration.
For couples who want a central Moncton hall with room for a full reception, flexible smaller spaces and a genuinely local community feel, the Southeast Multiplex Sud-Est offers a celebration with space for everyone.
