At Villa Caledon Inn, a summer wedding can begin under open sky on a quiet green tucked behind the patio, then carry on into a tented reception as evening settles over Caledon East.
The inn has been part of Caledon East for about 50 years, and its dining rooms sit inside a stone-walled building that dates to the 1800s. Couples who love history will find plenty of character in those old walls.
From May to September, the outdoor event green and its covered tent host weddings of 50 to 180 guests. Vows can be said outdoors, cocktails can flow onto the patio, and dinner and dancing can follow under the tent.
The Garden Room, a covered patio looking out over a lush garden with blooming flowers and soft lighting, seats up to 25 guests and suits a small celebration or an intimate gathering the night before.
For cooler months or smaller weddings, the stone-walled Villa Room seats up to 40 and the Mezzanine Room, set above the main floor, seats up to 50. The Villa Room is a favourite for candlelit dinners.
Food is the heart of the place. The kitchen team plans each wedding menu around the couple, starting with a tasting, and can create a multi-course dinner, a cocktail-style reception or a relaxed outdoor feast. The inn also works with décor and DJ partners for couples who want help with styling and music, and a rustic pub on site gives guests a cozy spot to gather.
For couples who picture vows outdoors, cocktails on a garden patio and a long dinner under a tent, Villa Caledon Inn offers a warm, food-focused wedding in a historic country setting.
