Some celebrations need room to grow. At the Valhalla Hotel & Conference Centre, a wedding can be as intimate as a fireside dinner or as grand as a ballroom filled with hundreds of guests.
The hotel sits in Thunder Bay, just minutes from the Thunder Bay Airport and close to many of the city's main attractions, which makes arrivals simple for family travelling in from afar.
With 15 customizable event spaces, the Valhalla invites couples to host a meeting, event or wedding in a room that suits the size of their guest list. The Ballroom, which overlooks Mount McKay, can be used in one, two or three sections, and at its fullest it accommodates up to approximately 630 guests for dinner and around 1,000 for a reception.
The Scandia room offers another flexible option, divisible into sections and welcoming up to approximately 210 for dinner or 450 for a reception when fully open.
For a smaller celebration, the Viking Room seats around 80 for dinner and up to 120 for a reception, with direct access to the Valhalla Courtyard. The Fireside Room, warmed by a wood-burning fireplace, can host approximately 48 for dinner or 80 for a reception.
The hotel's culinary team provides curated menus for everything from breakfast gatherings to formal dinners, and a dedicated sales and catering team helps bring the details together.
Guests can stay right on site, with hotel rooms, a fitness centre and pool, and dining at Skål, so a wedding can easily become a weekend spent together.
For couples who want a full-service Thunder Bay celebration with spaces for every scale, the Valhalla Hotel & Conference Centre offers flexibility, warmth and everyone under one roof.
