The Thornhill Club is a member club on Yonge Street in Thornhill, established in 1922 as a golf club, home to golf, tennis, curling, fitness, bridge and a pool and cabana. Its events team also welcomes weddings, corporate gatherings and private celebrations.
Receptions centre on the Hawthorne Dining Room, which can accommodate up to approximately 200 guests. The room features a full dance floor and floor-to-ceiling windows dressed in soft, neutral-toned drapery, giving dinner, speeches and dancing an elegant backdrop.
Couples can also exchange vows outdoors, with ceremonies overlooking the golf course for up to approximately 150 guests. The clubhouse and course setting offer plenty of opportunities for photographs between the ceremony and the reception.
Food is a central part of the experience. The club's Executive Chef creates gourmet cuisine using locally sourced ingredients, and the kitchen team can tailor menus to accommodate dietary restrictions.
Planning support comes from the club's wedding specialist and Catering and Events Manager, who help guide menus, decor, set-up and the many fine details that bring a day together.
