Some wedding venues are named after what happens inside them.
The Sunset Room is named for what happens just beyond the windows.
Set on the Summerside waterfront, this Prince Edward Island venue looks across the harbour and gives couples a celebration where water, sky and evening light naturally become part of the backdrop.
The Sunset Room has hosted more than 100 weddings and can accommodate celebrations of up to approximately 250 guests.
Couples can bring together both indoor and outdoor moments throughout the day. A waterfront ceremony allows the vows to unfold against the harbour, while the covered deck gives guests another way to enjoy the scenery before everyone moves inside for dinner and dancing.
The main event room is deliberately neutral enough for couples to make it their own. Romantic lighting softens the space in the evening, while the surrounding windows allow the changing sky outside to do something no décor team could quite recreate.
Food and bar service can become part of the venue experience, helping the celebration move naturally from cocktails into dinner without separating the wedding between several different locations.
And then, if the weather cooperates, the sun begins to disappear over the water.
For a few minutes the entire harbour changes colour, guests drift toward the windows and the venue suddenly makes perfect sense.
For couples dreaming of a Prince Edward Island wedding where the waterfront is not simply nearby but part of the celebration itself, The Sunset Room offers a setting where the end of the day can become one of its most unforgettable moments.
