About
The Royal Conservatory

A wedding at The Royal Conservatory surrounds couples with music history, from a restored Victorian stone building to glass-walled lobbies looking over Philosopher's Walk.

The Conservatory's home on Bloor Street West, the TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning, joins a lovingly restored Victorian-era building with bright, open contemporary spaces. Its events team handles everything from intimate dinners to large receptions, and weddings held here have appeared in national wedding magazines.

The Leslie and Anna Dan Galleria links the three lobbies of Koerner Hall with dramatic floating staircases, and offers sweeping views of Philosopher's Walk and the downtown skyline. The orchestra level holds 400 for a reception, the lower balcony 200 and the upper balcony 80.

The ground-floor Atrium, bright and airy, leads guests along a promenade lined with a collection of early instruments, a memorable entrance to the evening.

Temerty Theatre, a slate cube that seems to float above Bloor Street, has large windows and holds 180 for a reception. For a very small gathering, a glass-walled conference room above the Galleria holds 24 seated or 40 standing, with views of the skyline on three sides.

Koerner Hall itself, the acoustically celebrated concert hall at the centre of the building, offers flexible seating from 200 to 1,135.

For couples who picture music, history and city views woven into one evening, The Royal Conservatory offers a wedding that feels elegant, cultured and truly memorable.
