The Diplomat

At The Diplomat, a wedding reception feels like an evening at a favourite downtown restaurant, with fireplaces glowing and good company filling every corner.

The Diplomat stands on King William Street in the heart of downtown Hamilton. The restaurant offers small, medium and large spaces for private events, so a celebration can be cozy or take over more of the room.

Two living rooms, each with a fireplace and lounge furniture, set a warm scene for cocktail hour before dinner.

The kitchen serves a menu drawn from cuisines around the world and can adjust for dietary needs. A far-reaching wine list and an inventive cocktail program round out the bar, and the events team works alongside couples through every stage of planning.

For couples who picture a lively city reception with fireside cocktails and a globe-trotting menu, The Diplomat offers a Hamilton wedding full of warmth and energy.
