At The Club at Bond Head, couples exchange vows on a hillside above the South golf course, then carry the celebration into a grand clubhouse that feels like an old country estate.
The club sits near Beeton, about eight minutes west of Highway 400 at the Bradford and Bond Head exit, roughly 20 minutes south of Barrie and 40 minutes north of Toronto. Its two courses opened in 2005 and 2006, and the clubhouse stays open all year for weddings.
The ceremony site on the hill looks out across the South course, and the grounds offer gardens and photo spots in every direction. After the ceremony, a staff member guides the wedding party and photographers around the property by golf cart for portraits, with no photography fees.
Receptions take place in a ballroom with floor to ceiling windows and a second floor patio just outside its doors, a natural spot for cocktails on a fine evening. The ballroom seats up to 240 guests comfortably, and smaller, intimate weddings are welcome too.
The club promises only one wedding on the property each day, and a private suite is set aside for the couple from early morning until the evening ends. In the off season, weddings have the full clubhouse to themselves.
The culinary team prepares plated dinners with butler-passed hors d'oeuvres, wine service at the tables through dinner and a bar that reopens after the meal, with cultural cuisine packages so every family can enjoy familiar flavours. An events manager guides the planning, and in season golf carts shuttle guests who would rather ride.
For couples who picture golden light over rolling fairways and a ballroom that opens onto a patio, The Club at Bond Head offers a wedding that feels both elegant and wonderfully easy to reach.
