Takhini River Ranch

At Takhini River Ranch, couples marry on the rim of the Takhini River Valley and then walk over to a barn-style hall for dinner, with their families sleeping just steps away.

This is a working ranch of 158 acres, about thirty minutes from Whitehorse, where ranch work began in 2006. The cabins and hall share the land with the farm itself.

Ceremonies take place outdoors with the valley and mountains beyond. The reception moves into Yéil Kóoshdaa, a rustic hall with wide doors that let the valley light pour in.

Private two-bedroom cabins look out over the Ibex Valley and come with full kitchens and cozy living rooms, powered by solar and generator. There is also room for guests to camp on site.

Food comes straight from the ranch. Its butcher shop and commercial kitchen prepare farm-to-table feasts such as rotisserie pig, prime rib and lamb, alongside produce from Yukon growers. Couples may also bring their own caterer.

Natural hot springs are only a few minutes away, and winter nights can bring the aurora overhead.
