In the Pemberton Valley, the mountains do much of the decorating. At Sunstone Golf Club, Ts'zil (Mount Currie) rises above the course, and weddings unfold with that peak as a constant companion.
The club sits on Airport Road in Pemberton, between two rivers at the base of the mountain. Its clubhouse brings together an open-concept dining room and bar with a heated, covered patio and wide grassy spaces.
The outdoor grass area, framed by split rail fencing, offers space for up to 300 guests and serves as a ceremony site. Inside, the dining room seats up to 115 guests, while the covered patio seats up to 80, and all areas are wheelchair accessible.
Packages are shaped around different guest counts, from intimate dinners for small groups to celebrations that include the ceremony site, reception space and a buffet dinner prepared by the club's kitchen. Service, bar and kitchen staff are included, and golf carts are available for photos out on the course.
The bar showcases drinks from across the Sea-to-Sky Corridor and British Columbia, including wines from Fort Berens Winery in Lillooet. Bands and DJs can set up in the restaurant, on the patio or on the lawn, and several televisions in the restaurant are available for slideshows.
Parking is complimentary, and guests travelling by RV or camper may be able to stay overnight in the unserviced lot with prior approval. For other guests, the team points to Pemberton's hotels and bed and breakfasts and can share a vendor list.
For couples who want a relaxed mountain wedding with open lawns, good food and room for a big guest list, Sunstone Golf Club offers a Pemberton celebration where the view does not need any help.
