Sunnyside Pavilion

A wedding at Sunnyside Pavilion puts couples right on the shore of Lake Ontario, inside one of Toronto's best loved historic waterfront buildings.

The Sunnyside Bathing Pavilion was designed by A.H. Chapman and opened as the centrepiece of the Sunnyside amusement park along the western beaches in the early 1920s. Named a historical site in 1975, it was restored and rededicated in 1980, and its towers and terraces still face the lake today.

The pavilion hosts both ceremonies and receptions, with the beach and the open water as a backdrop for vows and photos.

Food and drinks come from the pavilion's own beachfront cafe, which serves the public from May until mid September. The events team offers complete planning and consultation, helping couples with the arrangements from first inquiry to the last dance.
