Steamworks BrewPub

A wedding celebration at Steamworks Brew Pub brings guests into a heritage Gastown building where sunset light spills across Vancouver Harbour.

The brew pub opened in 1995 as the first steam-powered brew pub of its kind in Canada, built around original steam piping found in the historic building. Exposed beams, brick and copper still set the mood.

Three private rooms sit inside the pub. The Harbour View Room has its own full bar, wood beams and brick walls, and at dusk the west coast sunset and the lights of North Vancouver fill the windows.

The Wine Room is a wooden cellar with arched ceilings and oak aging barrels, and it can be combined with the Harbour View Room for a larger party. The Über Lounge has a private art deco bar, a fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows, and is suited to receptions, cocktails and intimate engagement dinners.

Private events start at 20 guests, with banquet, buffet, reception or food station service. The events team helps design custom menus and drink lists and handles setup and takedown, with house beers from 20 rotating taps.

For couples who picture toasting with craft beer as the sun sets over the harbour, Steamworks Brew Pub offers a reception that feels historic, relaxed and full of Gastown character.
