Some couples want a celebration that feels less like an event and more like a retreat, where the days around the wedding are as restful as the wedding itself.
Ste. Anne's Spa is located in Grafton, in Northumberland County, about 90 minutes east of Toronto. The all-inclusive countryside destination hosts intimate weddings, vow renewals and elopements.
The property offers several indoor and outdoor venues. Poustinia is a small chapel along the trails, with wooden pews, stained glass windows and an antique bell, suited to intimate weddings and vow renewals.
The Forest Pavilion is a sheltered open-air space surrounded by trees, while the English Walled Garden offers an outdoor space with a harvest table, open-air grill, pizza ovens and a fire circle for up to approximately 30 guests. These outdoor venues are available seasonally from May through October.
For a more traditional setting, the Anna Quinn function room is available year-round and seats up to about 40 guests.
All weddings are booked as all-inclusive packages, either as a day spa experience or with overnight accommodation. The chef can create customized menus, and in-house floral and décor services are available. Alcohol is not served, but couples are welcome to bring their own.
Ste. Anne's is an adults-only destination, so weddings are designed for guests 18 and over, though children may be accommodated depending on the venue. Couples can also book the entire spa for a private wedding and add extras such as pre-wedding treatments, transportation or a honeymoon package.
