Some celebrations call for soft lighting, stone walls and a good cocktail in hand. Spring Mill Distillery has all of the character for exactly that kind of day.
Home to John Sleeman & Sons, the distillery sits in Guelph's historic Ward district on Arthur Street South, where the building itself carries the history of the neighbourhood within its walls.
Weddings centre on the Cooperage Room, a quietly romantic space designed with micro weddings in mind. Window views of the Speed River, exposed stone walls, a custom-built bar, a cozy gas fireplace and intimate lighting give the room a warm, personal feeling.
The Cooperage Room can host up to approximately 40 guests for a cocktail-style celebration, or up to around 24 for a seated dinner. It suits couples who would rather gather their closest people around one table than fill a large hall.
Signature cocktails and mocktails can be part of the evening, and the events team offers thoughtfully curated catering recommendations. Audio-visual equipment is available for speeches or a slideshow.
The distillery also offers tours and tastings, and the Ward Bar and retail store are right on site.
The team takes care of the details so the day runs smoothly, and the Cooperage Room also welcomes bridal showers and other celebrations leading up to the wedding.
For couples who picture an intimate wedding with handcrafted cocktails, river views and a room full of history, Spring Mill Distillery offers a celebration that feels personal, unhurried and full of character.
