Spirit in Niagara Distillery

At Spirit in Niagara Distillery, couples can say their vows among rows of peach trees, then step inside a room with the playful glow of a 1920s speakeasy.

The distillery sits on Lakeshore Road in Niagara-on-the-Lake, surrounded by orchards. It was founded by Arnie Lepp, whose family has farmed here for four generations and tends more than 200 acres of tender fruit and grapes.

The spirits themselves carry a story: ripe fruit that falls in the family orchards is gathered and distilled in small batches into whisky, gin, vodka and fruit eau de vie, turning would-be waste into something to raise a glass with.

Ceremonies can take place right in the peach orchard when the weather cooperates. Receptions follow in the dining room, which seats up to 120 guests, and can spill out onto the travertine patio for up to 200 people combined. Heaters are available for cooler evenings.

The in-house kitchen offers plated, buffet and family-style menus, with many dishes finished using the distillery's own spirits and fruit from the farm. Bar packages pour SiN whiskies, gin, vodka and eau de vie alongside Ontario VQA wines and local beer.

An event coordinator is on hand for the day, on-site photos are welcome, and rehearsal dinners can be hosted here as well.
