A wedding at Sixthirtynine feels like an intimate dinner party built around beautiful local food, cooked by a family that has been feeding Woodstock since 2005.

The independent, family owned restaurant on Peel Street was opened by a mother and son team and is known for fresh, seasonal Canadian cooking that changes several times a year.

Indoors, the warm and modern dining room seats up to 30 guests or holds 40 standing, a lovely size for a small wedding or rehearsal dinner. From spring through fall, a tented outdoor celebration can welcome up to 100 guests.

Menus are planned with each couple, from multi course dinners to long tasting menus, drawing on Oxford County farms for maple syrup, berries, honey, trout, cheese and more. Custom cakes are available through the restaurant's preferred bakery.

The restaurant's chef's table, set right in the kitchen, has been part of the experience since opening day.

For couples who picture a small gathering where every course tells a story of the local land, Sixthirtynine offers a wedding that is personal, delicious and full of heart.
