At Silver Springs Retreat, a wedding is not a single evening. It is a whole weekend on a private property where spring water bubbles up from the ground and the land seems to slow everyone down.
Set on 140 acres in the Beaver Valley near Flesherton, the retreat sits at about 1,500 feet of elevation, near the highest point in Ontario. It is roughly 26 minutes from The Village at Blue Mountain and less than two hours from Toronto.
The retreat began as a farmhouse built by Scottish settlers drawn to the fresh water springs. Today the farmhouse and a fully renovated barn offer more than 7,500 square feet of indoor space, including four living spaces, a gourmet kitchen and a dining room that seats up to 40 guests.
Ceremonies take place outdoors on gently sloping grounds framed by poplar trees, looking onto spring-fed ponds and forest. Couples can also choose a spot under the trees, by the pond or in the gazebo.
Receptions are held in a tented space overlooking farmland and forest, with lake views and sunsets, and a dedicated gazebo bar area for entertaining. The outdoor space is suited to groups of approximately 30 to 200 guests.
Wedding packages run for three or four days with exclusive use of the facilities and grounds. The 17 guest rooms in the barn and farmhouse sleep up to 35 people in beds, with room for about 40 more guests to camp on site.
The team connects couples with local planners, caterers, DJs, photographers and bar services. Between celebrations, guests can swim in the spring-fed ponds, walk private trails, use the steam room or gather around the executive fire pit in the private forest.
For couples who want their closest people together for an entire weekend in nature, Silver Springs Retreat offers a private countryside escape where the wedding simply becomes the heart of the stay.
