Some weddings are a single day. At Shamrock Lodge, a wedding can become a whole Muskoka weekend, with the lake, the tall trees and the people you love all in one place.
Shamrock Lodge sits on the shores of Lake Rosseau in Port Carling, about two hours north of Toronto. It is a family-operated resort with a traditional Muskoka waterfront feel and a long history of personal service.
Ceremonies take place lakeside, right by the water, with the trees and the lake as a natural backdrop. Lakeside dining and homemade food are part of the lodge's character, and one couple's wedding meals were served on the lodge's sun porch.
As the evening goes on, guests can make their way down to the beach, where a bonfire gives everyone somewhere to gather under the Muskoka sky.
The lodge can be reserved exclusively for a wedding party, so the property feels entirely your own. With 24 units across the grounds, many with multiple bedrooms and most with lake views, family and friends can stay on site from arrival to farewell.
As a full-service resort, the lodge helps make sure the wedding goes as planned, with personalized programs and personal service. Wedding packages also include access to some of Muskoka's finest golf courses.
A couple might gather everyone for dinner on the sun porch and finish the night around the fire, with nobody needing to leave.
For couples who picture a relaxed cottage-country wedding on Lake Rosseau, with the whole group staying together, Shamrock Lodge offers a celebration that feels like a summer weekend shared with everyone who matters.
