Some weddings are meant to be intimate.
Others are meant to bring hundreds of people together for one enormous celebration of family, tradition, food and music.
The Serbian Centre in Windsor has room for both.
With more than 10,000 square feet of banquet facilities and several halls available, the Centre can accommodate celebrations ranging from smaller family gatherings to events of up to approximately 600 guests in the Main Hall.
The Main Hall includes a large built-in bar and permanent stage, making it especially well suited to weddings with live entertainment, cultural traditions, speeches and a serious dance floor.
Smaller halls allow couples to create a more contained celebration without losing access to the venue's catering and event experience.
Outside, the licensed patio and picnic grounds offer another possibility altogether. Ceremonies can take place outdoors, giving couples the chance to exchange vows in the open air before bringing everyone inside for dinner and the reception.
Food has always been central to celebrations at the Serbian Centre. The kitchen prepares both Serbian specialties and familiar North American banquet dishes, with menus able to be adjusted around the needs and traditions of the wedding.
The team also assists with practical details such as room setup and floor planning, helping couples make sense of the logistics that come with gathering several hundred people in one place.
For couples whose wedding is meant to feel generous, joyful and filled with family, Serbian Centre offers something increasingly difficult to find: enough room for an enormous celebration while still carrying the warmth of a community gathering place.
