Royal Niagara Golf Club

A wedding at Royal Niagara Golf Club comes with a sweeping backdrop: the historic Welland Canal on one side, the Niagara Escarpment rising beyond, and wide green fairways in between.

The club sits in Niagara-on-the-Lake, framed by the canal, the Bruce Trail and the escarpment. Its 27 holes are laid out as three nine-hole courses named for the landscape around them: the Escarpment, the Iron Bridge, which crosses the canal, and the Old Canal, where some tees perch right at the water's edge.

That scenery gives photographers plenty to work with, from canal views to open fairways and the ridge of the escarpment on the horizon.

The banquet room welcomes 60 to 200 guests and includes a dance floor and a suite for the wedding party to get ready. A patio looks out over the grounds, and a pergola is available for the celebration.

Dinner can be served as a buffet or plated, and couples who have a favourite caterer can choose an outside catering option instead. Packages are quoted with taxes, gratuities and room rental already folded in.

On quieter days, the Double Eagle Lounge and its patio offer a relaxed spot for a drink overlooking the course.
