Some weddings are shaped by the sea. At Prestige Oceanfront Resort, Sooke Harbour becomes the backdrop for the moment you say I do.
Rising above the Pacific in Sooke, the resort looks out over Sooke Harbour, Sooke Basin, the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountains. It can host a wedding from start to finish, from the rehearsal dinner to an oceanfront ceremony and a customized reception.
Ceremonies can take place at the seaside pavilion, at one of the outdoor venues overlooking the harbour or in indoor spaces, depending on the feel a couple has in mind.
The resort offers more than 5,000 square feet of convention space. The Oceanfront Grand Ballroom accommodates up to approximately 250 guests for a banquet and around 350 for a reception, and it divides into the Orca Spirit, Otter Point and French Beach Salons for smaller celebrations.
Outdoors, the Pavilion, Palm Terrace, Veranda and Pavilion Grounds offer room to gather, with the grounds suited to around 200 banquet guests. Champagne and hors d'oeuvres receptions on the Veranda, Palm Terrace II or in the Grand Foyer are a lovely alternative to a traditional dinner.
Plated and buffet dinner options are available, or couples can customize the menu. An elopement package is offered for intimate weddings with just the couple.
Guests can stay on site, with a restaurant, lounge and cafe, a pool and hot tub, a day spa and a tropical courtyard. The Pacific Penthouse, a 1,900 square foot two-bedroom suite with five outdoor terraces and a private hot tub, can serve as a honeymoon suite or hospitality room.
For couples who picture exchanging vows beside the water with everyone staying close, Prestige Oceanfront Resort offers a seaside celebration on Vancouver Island.
