Prescott Golf Club

At Prescott Golf Club, a wedding unfolds against wide green fairways in summer and a snowy winter scene in the colder months, all framed by a wall of wraparound windows.

The club has deep roots in Prescott. Golfers first played a simple course here in the early 1930s, and in 1939 the club bought the stretch of land known as The Pines, which is still home to the course today. The full 18 holes opened in 1989, and the current clubhouse was built in 1993.

Ceremonies can be held outdoors on the lower patio, which seats up to 180 guests with the course as a backdrop.

Receptions move into the clubhouse dining area, which has high ceilings, scenic views over the course, a dance floor at one end and the bar and kitchen close by. About 170 guests is the comfortable maximum, and the hall can be divided for smaller gatherings. The clubhouse is available year round.

Menus are flexible, from cocktails and hors d'oeuvres to a buffet or a three course dinner, and the event coordinator meets with each couple to plan the details. The club also hosts showers, stag and does and rehearsal dinners, and there is plenty of free parking.

Prescott sits between Cornwall and Kingston, and the club is a short drive from Ottawa.
