Some celebrations are built around a long table, a full dance floor and a room big enough for everyone. The Portuguese Canadian Club of Strathroy has been gathering people together since 1977, with Portuguese hospitality rooted in food, family and tradition.
The club is located in central Strathroy, with ample free on-site parking and easy access for guests travelling from across Southwestern Ontario. It describes itself as one of the largest event venues in the Strathroy Caradoc area.
The Main Hall is the heart of the club. It can welcome up to approximately 400 seated guests and features a full entertainment stage, a large built-in dance floor and a dedicated bar, with flexible layouts for banquet rounds or a cocktail-style evening.
For smaller weddings or rehearsal dinners, the Upstairs Cafe offers a warmer, more private setting for up to around 100 guests, with private bar service available.
Couples can plan both parts of the day here, as the club offers indoor and outdoor ceremony options along with the reception.
The kitchen prepares authentic Portuguese catering, and the venue also allows couples to bring their own preferred licensed caterer. Wedding packages mention late-night buffet and seafood table options, and the fully licensed bar can be set up as a cash bar, open bar or on consumption.
The team handles basic table and chair setup and teardown, decoration rules are flexible, and the venue is fully wheelchair accessible. A bridal party staging area is included with the large reception package.
