Where the valley meets the sky, Pine Valley Resort offers a countryside wedding that still comes with the comforts of the city.
Located about 45 minutes north of St. Albert in Tawatinaw, Alberta, the resort is an all-in-one venue with four outdoor ceremony locations, an indoor reception hall, catering and on-site lodging.
Couples can choose a ceremony setting to match their story. The Sky Site looks out over the Tawatinaw Valley, The Terrace is framed by a semi-circle of trees, The Red Barn brings a rustic Alberta feel, and the historic St. Charles Church adds a touch of the past. All four sites have vehicle access.
The reception takes place in the Pine Valley Hall, which holds up to 150 guests for a sit-down reception or up to 300 for a standing reception. The hall features a stage in the main room and an adjacent sitting room that serves as the bar area, with corkage or cash bar options.
Food is a point of pride here. Couples can choose a Western or Thai-style buffet for the wedding dinner, with cocktail hour nibbles, desserts, a midnight lunch and even multi-day catering available.
Guests can stay steps away in The Lodge, which offers hostel-style accommodation with shared bathrooms, a theatre room and common areas. RV parking is also available, and the couple's package includes one night in The Honeymoon Suite.
The rental runs from Friday at noon to Sunday at noon, leaving time for setup, teardown or a full weekend of celebrating together.
