Parkland Village Inn

At the Parkland Village Inn, a small wedding unfolds right at the edge of the Bay of Fundy, with the highest tides in the world rising and falling outside the windows.

The inn sits in the seaside village of Alma, next to the fishermen's wharf and beside Fundy National Park. It has welcomed travellers for more than six decades and has around 200 feet of frontage on the ocean.

Celebrations take place in the waterfront function room on the ground floor, which looks straight out over the bay. The room can be set up for dining and holds up to 30 guests, a lovely size for an intimate wedding or family gathering.

Just outside, an adjoining deck is made for welcome drinks, a catered barbecue or simply watching the sunset together after the ceremony.

Food comes from the inn's own Tides Restaurant, a local favourite for decades that is known for fresh Fundy seafood and lobster. Bar service can be arranged, and the inn's event coordinators help shape the day.

Guests can stay on site in 15 rooms and suites, many with views of the bay. The beach, the village shops and the park gate are all an easy stroll away, so there is plenty to explore over a wedding weekend.

For couples who picture a close circle of loved ones, a seafood dinner and the tide rolling in at sunset, the Parkland Village Inn offers a relaxed seaside wedding with the whole Bay of Fundy as a backdrop.
