Where two branches of the river meet, Museum London stands in the light. Its windows look out over the forks of the Deshkan Ziibi, the Thames River, giving celebrations a view that is unmistakably London.
The museum sits in the heart of downtown, pairing a landmark location with expert staff who offer personalized service for private events.
The Lorraine Ivey Shuttleworth Community Gallery, on the second level and surrounded by exhibitions, is the largest option for weddings. With high ceilings and what the museum calls London's best view of the forks of the river, it can host up to 250 seated guests or up to 300 for a reception.
Centre at the Forks is bathed in natural light from a panoramic window over the river. It suits weddings and receptions, seating up to 75 guests for a banquet or up to 250 standing, with an optional projector, audio system and digital screen.
Vault 421 offers floor-to-ceiling windows on two walls and views of the river forks, along with an adjoining bar and catering kitchen. It is ideal for intimate receptions and private dinners, with up to 60 seated or 115 standing.
The light-filled Atrium, at the centre of the museum and close to the main entrance and coat room, can welcome up to 150 standing guests, making it a natural place for a cocktail hour.
A Theatre for up to 150 seated and a Boardroom overlooking the garden and pond round out the spaces, useful for gatherings before or after the main celebration.
For couples who want art, architecture and river views woven into their celebration, Museum London offers a downtown setting with a sense of place that guests will remember.
