Meadowcroft Estate feels like a place made for wandering. Boardwalks run through the woods, ponds catch the light and every path seems to lead somewhere worth pausing.
Established in 1977, the estate was the vision of the late Robert Bolus, who transformed 25 acres of pasture into woodlands, walking paths, boardwalks, gardens and ponds. Today Kate and her husband Nick own and operate it in Blenheim, about 8 minutes from Lake Erie marinas and beaches.
The estate is dedicated to small, intimate weddings, ceremonies, vow renewals, proposals and elopements, with a guest capacity of up to 15.
Couples can choose from several ceremony settings. The Whispering Pines is an open forest clearing framed by towering pines, the Hide House is a wood-clad building under a canopy of trees with a deck above the forest undergrowth, and the Pond Deck offers a covered ceremony spot looking out onto a pond.
The Stilt House, a seasonal screened structure reached by a long boardwalk, gives guests a place to mingle or lets the wedding party stay hidden before the ceremony.
Getting ready happens at the Loft, a light-filled cottage in the woods with a kitchen, bath and gathering area, plus two beds upstairs for the night before or after.
Packages range from an elopement for four to a mini wedding for 5 to 15 guests with an on-site venue coordinator, and a Quaint Wedding package that brings together photography, flowers, an officiant and day-of coordination with preferred vendors. Each includes a night's stay at the Loft.
For couples who want a quiet, storybook ceremony among pines, ponds and boardwalks, Meadowcroft Estate offers an intimate celebration that feels wonderfully close to nature.
We never use a venue’s photos without permission.
