Maple & Rose Private Estate

At Maple & Rose, a wedding feels like a weekend at a family country house, with a red brick Victorian home, a wraparound veranda and gardens shaded by mature trees.

The estate is in Merrickville, about an hour south of Ottawa, within walking distance of the village and the Rideau Canal.

Inside, heritage details such as stained glass and exposed beams set the tone. Indoors, guests gather in the RGA Lounge, which measures 1,200 square feet, and ceremonies can also take place in the gardens, on the veranda or across the grounds, with tents available through a rental partner.

Couples have exclusive use of the estate for their ceremony, celebration and two nights around them. Eight bedrooms sleep as many as 16 guests overnight, including a honeymoon suite for the couple, and up to 24 more guests can join for the day.

The stay includes a local bakery's sweetheart cake, the use of a decor collection, a catered brunch after the wedding and set up and take down days, plus a book of preferred vendors. The house has a full chef's kitchen.
