At Manteo Resort Waterfront Hotel & Villas, a wedding unfolds right at the edge of Okanagan Lake, with year round views across the water to the mountains.
The resort sits on the Kelowna lakeshore and shares its grounds with the historic Hotel Eldorado, whose lakeside boardwalk makes a lovely backdrop for photos with the wedding party.
For the ceremony, the Eldorado Roof Top looks out in every direction over the lake, vineyards and orchards, and suits vows and standing receptions for up to 50 guests. The Vintage Room keeps the old character of Hotel Eldorado and opens onto a private terrace above the water.
The Waterfront Ballroom and Patio sit steps from the lake and are the largest space on site, seating up to 192 for a banquet and up to 250 for a reception. The ballroom can be divided into three smaller rooms, and its foyer works well for cocktails beforehand. The Great Room offers floor to ceiling windows facing the lake.
The resort team handles tables, chairs, linens, catering and bartending, and decorators get access on the day to style the room. Menus are seasonal with a west coast leaning and cover everything from the rehearsal dinner and cocktail hour to plated or buffet dinners, late night snacks and a next day brunch.
Family and friends can stay on site at preferred room rates, in guest rooms, suites or villas. Between celebrations there are indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, a beach and a marina with boat rentals.
