In Manning Park, the mountains, lakes and wooded pathways set the tone long before anyone says a word.
Manning Park Resort sits on Highway 3 in E.C. Manning Provincial Park, in the heart of the Cascade Mountains, about 45 minutes east of Hope and 45 minutes west of Princeton.
Ceremonies take place outdoors among mountain vistas and forest, and Lightning Lake is among the settings couples have chosen. The resort makes arrangements with BC Parks for the ceremony site as part of the wedding package. Because the park is public, the area is cordoned off but not exclusively private.
Receptions are held indoors. The Alpine Room, newly built and attached to the Pinewoods Dining Room, features log details and large windows, with space for up to approximately 140 people. A marquee tent in Windy Joe's Field can also accommodate around 140 guests.
The Last Resort, a separate building on private property across the resort, can host up to about 50 guests. The resort's six function and banquet rooms are fully licensed.
On-site catering and a dedicated planning team help shape the day, from choosing the ceremony setting to designing a personalized menu. A rustic décor enhancement is available, and couples are welcome to bring their own décor.
Shuttle buses can carry guests between the ceremony and reception, with a separate smaller shuttle for the wedding party.
Family and friends can stay in the resort's cabins, chalets and lodge rooms, with full access to the resort's facilities, including Loon Lagoon, turning the wedding into a mountain weekend.
For couples who dream of vows in the mountains and a celebration where everyone stays close, Manning Park Resort offers a wedding shaped by the landscape of the park itself.
