I’m Valerie Maltese, the heart and voice behind Love Story Ceremonies.

I believe the best wedding ceremonies feel like the couple standing in front of me: genuine, personal, meaningful, and with just the right amount of laughter along the way.

As a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant and licensed marriage officiant in British Columbia, I’ve had the privilege of standing beside couples on one of the most important days of their lives. Whether it’s an intimate elopement with only a handful of people or a celebration surrounded by family and friends, my goal is always the same: to create a ceremony that feels comfortable, engaging and completely authentic to you.

I have a background in public speaking and performance, and I’m also a member of UBCP/ACTRA. I love being in front of an audience, but on your wedding day, the spotlight belongs exactly where it should: on the two of you.

What I love most is discovering the little things that make each relationship its own. The laughter, the adventures, the unexpected turns, the qualities you admire in one another and the moments that brought you here. Those are the details that turn a ceremony from something you simply have at a wedding into something you and your guests genuinely experience.

Your ceremony doesn’t have to be stiff, overly formal or sound like everyone else’s.

It should sound like you.
