Kensington Market has always had its own rhythm, colourful and creative and entirely unlike anywhere else in the city. Kensington Studios brings that spirit to small, personal weddings.
The venue occupies a historic Victorian-era building, in the heart of downtown Toronto's Kensington Market, and describes itself as a blank canvas for any occasion.
Weddings here are intimate and inclusive. Couples can hold a ceremony on site, and wedding receptions range from small seated dinners of up to around 50 guests to standing celebrations of up to approximately 120. Overall, the venue holds about 60 seated guests.
The Light Room features 10-foot ceilings and bay windows facing Kensington Avenue, filling the space with natural light. The Dark Room is equipped with 600-watt speakers, a projector, wireless microphones and a lighting system with over 500 pre-built effects.
The Tiki Room is a spacious enclosed outdoor space with a fully functioning tiki bar, while a front patio overlooks the market. The Green Room gives the wedding party a place to relax and prepare, with a professional makeup mirror and plush seating.
Wedding bookings include an event specialist, décor such as tablecloths, runners and chair covers, audio-visual equipment and furniture. The team can also help coordinate catering, customize décor and arrange a DJ or officiant, with bar packages available.
