JC's Banquet and Convention Centre on Ellesmere Road in Scarborough hosts weddings, engagement parties, bridal showers, communions, retirement parties and holiday gatherings, along with conferences and corporate events.
The venue is designed to be flexible. In total it can accommodate up to approximately 450 guests banquet style and around 900 theatre style, and it separates into four distinct halls for smaller groups.
The Main Hall holds around 400 guests and can be divided into rooms for 100 or more than 200. A two-storey ceiling, dramatic chandeliers and optimized lighting and sound give it a sense of occasion, and the hall, elevator and washrooms are fully accessible.
Upstairs, the Mezzanine welcomes up to approximately 100 guests in a more intimate, modern setting, with its own kitchen space and washrooms and elevator access from the parking lot.
The kitchen tailors its menus to each event, and the team aims to please many different palates.
Experienced coordinators assist with planning, and the services include full setup and cleanup, round or rectangular tables, Chiavari chairs, an LED chandelier with personalized colour options, linens, a cake table and knife, printed menus, centrepiece options, decor for backdrops and head tables, a coatroom, dance floor, podium and sound equipment.
