Beneath a 24-panel stained-glass dome, in a banking hall built in 1885, the Stanley Cup waits. Few rooms in Canada carry quite this sense of occasion.
The Hockey Hall of Fame is in the heart of downtown Toronto at Brookfield Place, and after hours it opens its spaces for elegant dinners, cocktail receptions and private celebrations.
The Esso Great Hall, once the Bank of Montreal's headquarters, rises 45 feet to the largest stained-glass dome of its kind in Toronto. It can host approximately 140 guests for a banquet, around 200 theatre-style and up to about 225 for a reception, with private access to the Stanley Cup and the major NHL trophies.
The Concourse Level offers a reception for up to approximately 775 guests, with exhibits, two theatres, a replica Montreal Canadiens dressing room and interactive games, including a simulated rink. The NHL Zone provides a setting for a DJ or band.
Renting the Full Facility combines both levels for up to around 1,000 guests, with room for seated dinners, food stations and dancing.
Rentals include setup and tear-down and an on-site Event Supervisor with guest and building services staff. The Hall's exclusive caterers customize the menu and look after rentals, staffing, bar and liquor licence arrangements, as well as florals, décor, DJs and entertainment.
Guests can have their photograph taken with the Stanley Cup, and the retail store can stay open privately for Concourse Level and Full Facility events.
For couples whose love story runs through the rink, the Hockey Hall of Fame offers a celebration that is grand, playful and unmistakably Canadian.
