Heritage Acres Farm Museum

There are barns that feel like they have been waiting for a celebration. At Heritage Acres Farm Museum, north of Pincher Creek and east of the Oldman Dam, century-old buildings sit on 180 acres of southern Alberta land.

The museum rents its heritage buildings and grounds for events, with every rental supporting maintenance and conservation at the museum.

The loft of the Zoeteman-Vogelaar Barn is the largest space, holding up to 250 guests. Built in 1938 and 1942 with help from European craftsmen, it has hosted weddings, dances and live music.

The loft of the Doukhobor Barn, built in 1917 and moved to the site in 1990, welcomes up to approximately 150 guests and has also been used for weddings.

For the ceremony, the Jumbo Valley Knox Presbyterian Church, built in 1917, still has its original pews, cross and organ, with seating for 84 guests plus the couple. Summerview Hall, from 1950, holds around 60 and has been used for food preparation during weddings.

Events can also be set up in many scenic areas across the museum grounds, and composite tables and chairs are available.

The museum rents facilities only, so couples bring in their own catering, decor and photography, and the team can recommend local businesses.
