In Northwestern Ontario, the lakes connect one to another and the wilderness feels close at every turn. Gullrock Lake Lodge offers a celebration set right at the water's edge.
The lodge is on the South Bay shoreline of Gullrock Lake, about 10 kilometres from the town of Red Lake. Gullrock Lake connects to Red Lake, Keg Lake, Ranger Lake and Two Islands, giving the area its remote, wide-open character.
With over eight acres of lakefront property, the lodge welcomes a range of gatherings, including weddings, retreats, birthdays and social events, and works with each group to suit its needs.
For an additional fee, on-site staff can coordinate event and party planning. They are familiar with local vendors, which can be a real help when organizing a celebration in the north.
Guests can stay on the property. Lakeview cabins come fully furnished, from bedding and towels to a complete kitchen, and full-service RV sites offer another option for travelling family and friends.
The grounds include a sand beach, bonfire pits, a playground, sporting fields and hiking trails. Kayaks, paddle boats, stand-up paddleboards and canoes are available for use around the site, and children and friendly pets are welcome.
A couple might picture guests arriving for a lakeside weekend, spending the afternoon on the water and gathering around the fire once the celebration winds down.
For couples who want a relaxed northern wedding with the lake, the cabins and the people they love all in one place, Gullrock Lake Lodge offers a celebration rooted in the Ontario wilderness.
