Grey Silo Golf Course brings together two very different kinds of beauty: the open landscape of the Grand River Valley and the warmth of a reception room filled with timber, stone and firelight.
Set within Waterloo's RIM Park, the course gives couples a peaceful outdoor setting while keeping the celebration comfortably connected to the city.
The Timber Room can accommodate weddings of up to approximately 130 guests for dinner and dancing.
Inside, post-and-beam construction gives the room its character, while a large oak bar and fieldstone gas fireplace create a warmth that feels particularly suited to weddings.
The room opens toward a wraparound deck where guests can step outside, enjoy the surrounding scenery and carry a drink into the evening air without feeling separated from the reception.
Ceremonies can also become part of the property, allowing couples to bring the vows and celebration together in one location.
For photographs, the golf course and surrounding natural landscape offer plenty of variety, with the Grand River Valley and nearby trails creating quieter places for couples to slip away between the ceremony and dinner.
The transition back inside can feel especially beautiful as evening arrives. The outdoor scenery gives way to timber beams, the stone fireplace and a room filling with conversation before the music eventually draws everyone toward the dance floor.
For couples who want a golf-course wedding but are looking for something warmer and more rustic than a traditional ballroom, Grey Silo offers a lovely balance of nature, timber and relaxed Waterloo hospitality.
