Some buildings carry their history in every brick. The Gibson Centre began as a farm implement factory in 1889, and today that past has been given new life as a place for weddings, the arts and community celebrations.
Located in Alliston, in the heart of New Tecumseth, the Gibson Centre for Community, Arts & Culture is a beautifully restored building operated as a charitable not-for-profit, so every event also supports its mission to enhance arts and culture in the community.
Weddings here are intimate and personal, with a maximum capacity of 150 guests. The building offers striking spaces for a ceremony, cocktails, dinner and dancing, and it is fully temperature controlled, so the day is not at the mercy of the weather.
The centre hosts only one wedding each day, which means the couple and their guests have the team's full attention.
Wedding packages include access to the space from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m., two dressing suites for getting ready, and setup of tables, chairs and floor-length white linens. The centre's bar staff serve the event, and couples work with a preferred caterer who has access to the building's full kitchen and tableware.
For smaller celebrations, there are two more intimate options. An elopement package welcomes up to 20 guests in the third-floor chapel, with access to available spaces in the heritage building for photos. A micro wedding package offers five hours in the bright Rotary Hall for up to 50 guests.
All floors are fully accessible by a glass-encased elevator, and there is complimentary on-site parking.
For couples who love the idea of saying "I do" inside a piece of local history, The Gibson Centre offers a warm, characterful setting where the whole celebration can unfold under one historic roof.
We never use a venue’s photos without permission.
