Some celebrations are rooted in tradition. At the General Sikorski Banquet Venue, a wedding can share in the warmth of a community dedicated to Polish heritage, camaraderie and its veterans.
The venue is home to the General W. Sikorski Polish Veterans' Association in Oshawa, a hub of cultural events, family gatherings and community traditions.
The Grand Ballroom is the largest space, with hardwood floors, visible ceiling beams and crystal chandeliers. It accommodates up to approximately 400 guests for a wedding with a dance floor, or 500 with tables and chairs alone, and features a large stage with sound and lighting, a coat check and kitchen access.
The Lower Hall has its own entrance and large windows, seating up to about 150 with a dance floor or 250 without. The Red Room and the White Room each suit smaller gatherings, with the Red Room holding up to 96 people.
Couples can exchange vows at the Outdoor Chapel at the back of the property, lined with shrubbery and backed by a variety of trees, just steps from the Lower Hall.
Traditional Polish food is prepared on site by the Ladies Auxiliary, with gluten-free options available. Outside catering is also permitted. Each hall has a fully equipped cash bar, with the option of bilingual Polish and English bartenders, and white chair covers can be arranged.
For couples who want a ceremony under the trees and a hearty, traditional celebration with room for a full dance floor, the General Sikorski Banquet Venue offers generous halls and genuine community spirit in Oshawa.
