Gate 22 Winery sits on 22nd Avenue in Surrey, tucked between Surrey and Langley on the Fraser Valley Wine Route and about a 45-minute drive from downtown Vancouver. It offers a cozy indoor setting for intimate wedding receptions, engagement parties and other private celebrations.
The Barrel Cellar is the winery's most atmospheric space, an intimate room for up to 50 guests. The tasting room and its two lounges can be rented together for up to 40 guests, and renting the entire winery, tasting room, lounges and cellar, allows for gatherings of up to 75.
Smaller moments have their place too. The two lounges hold 26 guests between them, and a boardroom seats 14, useful for a rehearsal gathering or a quiet family meeting before the big day.
Gate 22 provides the space, wine service and staff, and can connect couples with local catering and rental resources. There is no kitchen on site and outside wine is not permitted, so the celebration naturally centres on the winery's own bottles, with curated wine pairings and private tastings available for up to 50 guests.
A couple might imagine a long table set through the cellar, glasses filled with Gate 22 wine, and conversation lasting well into the evening.
