About
Gardiner Museum

With balconies looking out toward Queen's Park and the Royal Ontario Museum, the Gardiner Museum offers a wedding setting shaped by art, architecture and light.

Located in Toronto's Yorkville neighbourhood, the Gardiner is known for its award-winning architecture and its internationally renowned collection of ceramics. The museum welcomes weddings, showers, private dinners and other celebrations.

The Terrace Room is the primary event space. On the third floor, it features floor-to-ceiling windows, multiple balconies, an intimate alcove with banquet seating and a full bar. It can host approximately 140 guests for a seated dinner and up to around 250 for a standing reception.

The room is well suited to both ceremony and reception. Guests can enjoy a cocktail hour elsewhere in the museum while the Terrace Room is turned over from vows to dinner.

The Hilary and Galen Weston Foundation Hall, with room for around 140 standing guests, and the licensed Front Plaza on the museum's garden terrace can be added for cocktails, and the Community Learning Centre can serve as a green room for the wedding party.

Catering is provided by the museum's exclusive catering partners, who also act as the couple's dedicated event coordinator, handling menus, staffing and rentals. In-house furniture is included with the rental.

For couples who want a modern, gallery-like setting in the heart of the city, the Gardiner Museum offers a celebration framed by art, light and views over Queen's Park.
