Gabriola Golf & Country Club

On an island where life moves a little slower, a sunny deck overlooking the ninth hole can be all a celebration needs.

Gabriola Golf & Country Club is a community-based, not-for-profit public golf club on South Road on Gabriola Island, with a 9-hole course open to players of every level.

Events centre on the club's log clubhouse, which is fully licensed and air conditioned. Couples can book a table or the whole place, and the clubhouse can accommodate up to 80 people.

The club has hosted just about every milestone celebration, from birthday and anniversary parties to holiday parties, banquet dinners, brunches, lunches and family reunions, and the team is happy to work with hosts to shape an event around their plans.

Guests might gather on the deck with a drink before dinner, taking in the course as the afternoon light shifts across the fairway.

Getting there is part of the island experience, with BC Ferries, taxis from the ferry and the community bus all serving Gabriola.
