Some settings do most of the work on their own. At Forest City National Golf Club, the trees open onto Fanshawe Lake, giving a wedding day a calm, water-edged backdrop from the first moment to the last photograph.
The club's 18-hole championship course covers 275 acres along the southeast shore of Fanshawe Lake in London, with holes that wind through pine forests and around small ravines.
Ceremonies take place at the Lakefront Ceremony Space, tucked among the trees overlooking the water, with set-up for up to 220 guests, a wedding arbour, white garden chairs, a signing table and dedicated rehearsal time.
Receptions move just steps away to the newly renovated Lakeview Banquet Hall, which seats up to 220 guests and looks out over the lake. It sits beside the patio and restaurant and can be arranged in several layouts, with receptions ranging from about 100 to 220 guests.
Couples have exclusive use of the ceremony space and banquet hall, as the club hosts only one wedding per weekend. The patio and back lawn are reserved for cocktail hour, and a private bridal suite is included with ceremony bookings, available from 9 a.m. on the wedding day.
The executive chef and culinary team customize the menu, offering gourmet plated dinners or buffets and accommodating dietary needs with advance notice. Couples also enjoy a menu and wine tasting, and the course grounds are available for engagement and wedding photos.
Set-up and tear-down, uniformed serving staff, tables, china and linens, a podium with microphone, complimentary parking and wheelchair access are all part of the experience.
For couples who want vows by the water and a reception with lake views, all in one place, Forest City National Golf Club offers a wedding day that feels relaxed, scenic and beautifully looked after.
