At The Parker Hotel & Rooftop, a wedding reception unfolds 120 feet above downtown Vancouver, with the city skyline and the ocean spread out beyond the glass.
The rooftop is the star of the hotel. Three open-air patios wrap around a lofty space with 20-foot ceilings and windows that run from floor to ceiling, so guests take in the views of the city and the water whether they gather inside or out.
If the weather turns, a 4,000 square foot indoor double Living Room keeps the celebration going in style. The rooftop hosts receptions for anywhere from 10 to 120 guests, from cocktail evenings to seated banquets, and the kitchen serves a Japanese-inspired menu of sushi, sashimi, seafood and grilled steaks alongside handcrafted cocktails and sake.
For a smaller gathering, the Lobby Patio welcomes up to 40 people. Its private bar opens through a 10-foot glass wall onto a covered patio with heat lamps for cooler evenings, and the music and themed cocktails can be tailored to the couple.
The wedding package includes a personal on-site coordinator, a room for the ceremony or rehearsal, and a menu tasting for the couple and up to four guests. The sales team can hold a block of rooms with special guest rates for the night of the reception.
The couple's own guestroom comes with turndown service, chilled champagne, valet parking, late checkout and breakfast in bed.
The hotel sits in a lively downtown neighbourhood, minutes from Granville Island, Yaletown, Robson Street and the 22-kilometre Seawall, with English Bay close by. Guests can borrow cruiser bikes to explore, and the hotel will even pack a breakfast picnic basket with wine for a morning by False Creek or English Bay.
For couples who picture golden hour drinks on a rooftop patio and dancing beneath the city lights, The Parker Hotel & Rooftop offers an elegant downtown wedding with views to remember.
